Yoga - On The Go
Susan Kim
Traveling has really taught me to take care of myself on the road. Watching what I eat, exercising and getting plenty of water, rest and relaxation on a daily basis. When I keep my routine of Self Care on the road, I feel so much better.
One of my favorite forms of exercise and relaxation is yoga, Bikram yoga to be specific. This is the “hot” yoga where you go into a room that is heated to about 105 degrees and do a series of 26 poses in 90 minutes. I love it!
However, this past trip I was in an area where they did not have a Bikram studio, so I looked for some other yoga alternatives and I found a great one that I want to share with you. . . Yoga Journal’s podcast series with Jason Crandell online! And it’s great because I don’t have to leave my hotel room. I just wake up and yoga!
Yoga Journal has put together some really great online videos and podcasts that are about 20 mins long from a morning wake up routine to a core strengthening sequence to an evening relaxation sequence. You can do one or a series of 2 or 3 of them.
Now that the summer months are in full swing and you may be on the road yourself – for business or pleasure – I encourage you to find the Self Care “on the go” method that works for you.
Make Happiness Yours,
Susan
