Today we land on the Law of Receiving.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF RECEIVING?

The Law of Receiving states that every time you make a decision to do something, you receive what you need when you decide you need it.  Not before.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I AM SURROUNDED BY LOVE.

THROUGH MY DIVINE EYES, LOVE IS ALL I SEE.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

As humans, we seem to on a constant quest to get what we want. We want to get money.  We want to get attention.  We want to get approval.  We want to get a nicer home.  We want to get a nicer car.  We always want to get.

We experience lack and thus, we want to get something to fill that lack. This is the human experience of receiving.

From a purely human perspective, we receive that which we do not already have. We long to receive what we lack.  Receiving is applied to situations of lack.  The very purpose of receiving is to fill a lack.

The human perspective would then take that lack and look for someone or something else to fill it.  Thus, receiving from the human lens appears as someone giving something to you.  Or a gift landing in your lap.  Or a lottery ticket with the winning numbers.

But this is not the spiritual experience of receiving.  And during the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram, we explore in detail, the spiritual intentions behind receiving.

As I’ve said before, all the Laws of Creation are designed to help you restore your perception and access to the unlimited power available to you.  The Law of Receiving is no exception.

The first step to discovering the higher, divine perspective around receiving, I invite you to try this very simple practice all day:

• Throughout your day, ask yourself, “How is Spirit feeding me love right now?” Allow the answers to come to you.  As we will explore in detail in the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram, every single event, circumstance, person, conversation, and challenge you encounter is feeding you love.  However, because of our limited, human perspective, we don’t see it.  Allow yourself to cultivate this new, divine perspective of love all around all day.
• At the end of the day, take a few minutes to journal on what you discovered through your day.  Write down at least 10 specific moments you felt the presence of love being fed to you.

HOW THE LAW OF RECEIVING CAN TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE:

Today we land on the Law of Giving.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF GIVING?

The Law of Giving states that when you give with an open heart, both the giver and the receiver end up with more than they started with.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I AM A VESSEL OF ABUNDANCE.

I CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE MY ABUNDANCE BY SHARING MY GIFTS WITH OTHERS.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

Most people think they are giving, when actually, they are trading.

Think about it.  Beneath the act of giving (time, money, resources, friendship, affection, listening), there resides an unspoken intention to receive something back.  There is nothing inherently wrong with giving to someone else with the expectation of receiving something in exchange.  However, this form of “giving” isn’t really “giving.”  It’s actually trading.  And while there is nothing wrong with trading, it is separate and distinct from true giving.

Trading does not contain the powerful metaphysical properties that true giving has.

Thus, if you would like to experience the power and majesty of true giving — you want to witness giving that leads to both the giver and receiver ending up with more that they started with — I invite you to practice true giving.

When you give with an open heart, and without an expectations of anything coming back to you, you move into the rich and powerful practice of giving.  In the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram, we explore how giving, in its highest spiritual context, is a powerful act of self-love that spills over to others.

The first step to practicing true giving is to become aware of your own motivations behind giving.

To discover this awareness, I invite you to ask yourself these three questions every time you feel inclined to “give” today:

1. What are my motivations for giving at this moment?
2. Can I give up these motivations and still feel a true desire to give?
3. What do I choose to do?  Trade? Give? Do Nothing?

Here’s how these questions work…

Today, as you go through your day, notice all the moments you feel inclined to give.  Ask yourself the first question, “What are my motivations for giving? From where in my being is the impulse to give coming from? In choosing to give, is there an unspoken exchange I hope the receive will give to me now or in the future?”

Allow yourself to see why you are giving.  Are you giving because you hope they will return the favor? So you can feel like a good person? So you won’t feel selfish? So they will like you?  So they will be nice to you? So you will look good?  So you can prove something to yourself or others? So they will take your side? So they will allow you to do something you want to do?  So they will love you?  So they won’t leave you?  So they will accept you?  So you can feel superior in some way?  What are all the reasons you might give to this person??

The practice isn’t intended to make you feel bad about yourself or your unspoken desires.  It’s simply to help expose them — so you can really see what’s going on.  So you can honor directly the desires you have.

Next, after you have explored your motivations for giving, ask yourself, “Can I give up these motivations and still feel a desire to give?  Am I willing to give — and it would still feel good to give — even if I won’t receive back any of the things I might have hoped?”

Here is where you have to be honest with yourself. Can you give with true desire?  This means giving without sacrifice?  Giving with a true, full heart?

This second question will help you see clearly whether you are open to true giving, or whether this particular act of giving is really trading.

Finally, decide for yourself what you want to do.  Ask yourself, “What do I choose to do?  Trade? Give? Do Nothing?“

This third question allows you to make a powerful decision. You may discover that in your truth, giving to the person really would only feel good with strings attached — it only would feel good to you if you knew it was a trade where you give in exchange for something else.  That’s fine.  Choose to trade.  There is nothing wrong with trading.  The important thing is to be clear with yourself — and with the other person — what your exchange is about.

On the other hand, you may discover that you do long to give for no reason other than to give.  Giving would feel really good to you.  It might even feel fun, expressive, or exciting to you in some way.  Through this inquiry, you may unveil a part of you that can release expectations of receiving something in return, and reveal a rare opportunity to move powerfully into “true giving.”

True giving can only happen when whatever is required in the give feels totally good to you. It feels like an act of love, first to yourself, and as a byproduct, it feels like an act of love to the receiver.

By using these questions, you will probably discover that most (if not all) your giving isn’t really giving.  It’s trading. Exposing this, will give you the opportunity to see if the opportunity to practice true giving exists with a given circumstance. 

Either way, the third question allows you to make a conscious choice: To trade?  To give? To do nothing?

True giving, at least at the beginning of your practice, will probably feel rare.  And that’s okay.  This first step of awareness allows you to cultivate a space where the richness of true giving can blossom.  And the powers of the Law of Giving can transform your life.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF ASKING?

The Law of Asking states that you have the power to manifest anything you desire by consistently clarifying what you want and asking for it, while staying completely unattached to the response or outcome.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I PROCLAIM MY DESIRES INTO THE UNIVERSE BY ASKING.

THERE IS NOTHING MORE I NEED TO DO.

MY DESIRE IS BEING FULFILLED EVEN IF MY REQUESTS APPEAR TO BE DENIED,

BECAUSE I KNOW MY TRUE POWER LIVES IN THE ASKING.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

There are many rich and unexpected surprises that come from integrating this powerful, life-altering law into your life.

When I first learned this law from my Inner Guides, I thought I understood it. But after studying and practicing it, I realize that at first take, I didn’t understand it at all.  I realized I was making a critical error in my thinking. I was adding incorrect assumptions about this law.  –An inaccurate assumption that was leading me to completely miss the point of the Law of Asking.  And in speaking with others, I realized I was not alone in my inaccurate thinking.  We will explore this inaccurate assumption in deep detail during the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram.

All of the Laws of Creation are intended to bring you back to your power. However, because we have historically misunderstood the purpose of asking, from a spiritual perspective, we have bought into the idea that asking puts us somehow into a powerless state.  Our misconception goes something like this:  When I ask you for something, it assumes first, that there is something wrong with me for needing something outside my own resources, and second, that I have to wait for you to respond to receive what I desire.

In the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram, I reveal the depths of this misconception about asking.  The thought that asking somehow puts you into a powerless or submissive state completely misses the point of what your Spiritual Self has in mind when it encourages you to ask.

Today, to help you embrace the power of asking, I invite you into a simple challenge.  In invite you today, to ask for everything you desire, the moment you desire it. Don’t filter.  Just ask.

As you ask, give up the need to have the desire fulfilled by the person you are asking. See the person you are asking, as simply a sounding board for you to proclaim your desires in the form of a request.

I challenge you to ask for 30 things today! That’s right 30 things!

Keep an index card with you so you can make hash marks on it, tracking the number of times you ask. And while asking for simple things like, “Will you hand me the stapler?’ certainly count as an ask, challenge yourself to ask the more uncomfortable things too… the things that if you searched your soul you know you’ve been longing to ask, but have felt fearful doing so.  Ask for the raise. Ask for the deal.  Ask someone to be your customer.  Ask someone for love.  Ask someone to listen to you.  Ask someone to care.  Ask for the impossible.

Just ask.

Today we land on the Law of Thinking.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF THINKING?

The Law of Thinking states that your power to manifest is limited by only one thing:  your thinking.

Beyond that, your manifestation power is unlimited.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I CHOOSE MY THOUGHTS.

EVERY THOUGHT I HAVE IS AT MY DISCRETION.

THE THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE TO THINK IS IN FACT, MY TRUTH.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

Once you tap into desire, the next step to manifesting this new desire is to look at your thinking. Remember that we live in a Thinking Universe, and therefore all creation begins with thought.

This means that the creation of everything in your life began with YOUR thought. Your thought created it all.  Now, as we discover in much greater detail in the Manifestation Mastery Journey eProgram, most of your thoughts are “unconscious.”  Thus most of what you create comes from a part of you that you are not aware exists.

Thus, in order to harness the power which resides inside the Law of Thinking, we must learn to discover awareness of our unconscious thoughts, and then re-train our unconscious thoughts to support the manifestation of our desires.

Complete power of your entire world lives at the center of something you have supreme power over:  your thinking. The Law of Thinking teaches us how to master this power.

Digest that the ONLY thing stopping you from having all that you desire is therefore, YOUR THOUGHT. It’s not your education, age, experience, the economy, or anything else.  What you create and don’t create all comes down to one thing:  YOUR THOUGHT.

The first step of mastering the Law of Thinking is to transform your limited thinking through awareness. One way to help you step into a heightened state of awareness of your thinking can be achieved by answering these two questions:

1. What is something you deeply desire?
2. What do you have to do, be, and have, in order to manifest this desire? List all the things you think you will have to do, be, and have in order to manifest your desire.  Write down everything that comes to you.  Sometimes some of the things on your list might even contradict one another.  That’s okay.  The idea is simply to create a laundry list of all your thinking about what is needed (or what you sometimes think is needed) to complete your manifestation.

Whatever you wrote down for #2 is the bridge you will have to cross in order to manifest your desire.

However, if your thoughts were truly different about what is necessary for you to do, be, and have your desire — if your thoughts said that “all I have to do is open my front door and it will be there,” then that would be the bridge you would need to cross in order to manifest your desire.

The bridge to your desire is determined by you and your thinking.

To alter what is required for you to manifest your desire, all you need to do is transform your thinking. (I know, sounds simple.  Sometimes it really is.)

The purpose of this exercise is to expose your thinking, particularly the weighty, heavy thoughts that require you to struggle and be something you’re not, in order to fulfill your desire. And to see if you can release any of that thinking.  Sometimes all it requires is your presence to say, “That’s a ridiculous assumption!  Of course I don’t have to have a Harvard MBA before I can be successful in business!  Plenty of people are successful without an MBA from Harvard, and so can I!”

The next step is to reinforce new thinking throughout your day.  Whenever the old thought pops up and says, “Well maybe I should just give up because I don’t know how,” or “Maybe I should apply to business school,” or whatever — stop yourself!  Remind yourself that you’re buying into the old thinking, and you don’t have to!  YOU get to choose your thinking! 

BONUS EXERCISE: To contrast the list from #2 above, where you listed all the things you think you have to do, be, and have, in order to fulfill your desire, create a new list of what you WISH was on the bridge to your desire. If you got to choose (and the crazy thing is that you do) what you would have to do, be, and have in order to fulfill your desire — and you could make the list as simple, easy, and as enjoyable as you like — what would you put on the list?  If you were living from power, faith, and delight, how would you manifest your desire?  Who would you need to be, what would you need to do, and what would you need to have then?

Today we land on the Law of Attraction.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?

The Law of Attraction states that whatever you focus on, expands.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I HAVE ALREADY CREATED EVERYTHING I DESIRE IN MY MIND.

TO EXPERIENCE IT IN THE PHYSICAL WORLD, ALL I NEED TO DO IS FEEL AND BE NOW —

THAT ACTUALIZED PERSON IN MY MIND.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

During the Manifestation Mastery Journey eCourse, we discuss why so many people have had limited success with the Law of Attraction.  There are many myths and misunderstandings about how this law is intended to be used.  To get you moving in the right direction today, I have an exercise you can utilize all day long to practice the deeper intentions of the Law of Attraction.

First, ask yourself these questions:

1. What is something you long to manifest in the physical world?  Name your desire.
2. Take a moment to imagine in your mind that your desire is fulfilled in the richest sense.  Write down what you notice.
3. How do you feel living this new life, having your desire fulfilled?  Name two or three specific feelings.
4. Because your desire is fulfilled, what changes about the way you think about yourself and the world?  What new thoughts are now present?
5. Because your desire is fulfilled, there seems to be a whole new realm of opportunities and possibilities at your dispose. List 3-5 new possibilities that become available as a result of your desire being fulfilled.

Your unmet desires are met to inform you of what you are meant to be and what you are meant to do right now in the present moment. By seeing who you think you will become in the future when your desire is fulfilled provides you Spirit-guided instructions on how you are meant to live your life right now.

For the rest of the day, I invite you to be the person you think you would be if your desire were already fulfilled:

1. Get dressed like the person you think you will be — wear a special outfit that expresses the new you that you glimpsed inside the manifestation of your desire.
2. Take one action today that will allow you to feel the feelings you wrote down in #3 above.
3. Look at your list of new thoughts you wrote down in #4 above.  Pick a new thought that you would like to embrace about yourself today and write it on an index card.  Carry this card with you everywhere you go today.  Embody this belief today in everything you do.  As you wash the dishes.  As you eat lunch.  As you drive to work.  As you speak to your co-worker.  Be this new thought.

This is what the Law of Attraction looks like in action.  As we will discuss, practicing the Law of Attraction is less about dwelling in the desire, which is something you feel you don’t have, and more about being the powerful person you think you’ll become when your desire is met — but being that person RIGHT NOW.

Today we land on the Law of Feeling.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF FEELING?

The Law of Feeling states that how you feel about what you’re doing determines the results of what you’re doing.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I EMBRACE AND TREASURE THIS MOMENT.

MY EXPERIENCE OF THIS MOMENT IS ALL THERE IS.

IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS REAL FOR ME.

I CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE THIS POWERFUL TRUTH NOW.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

The Law of Feeling is on the surface a very simple Law.  Yet, as you go beneath the surface, you will discover your human source of power to contribute to divine creation.  It is actually quite profound.  We discover that while we live in a Thinking Universe, our human condition experiences all that is through feeling (our senses).  Thus, all that is real for us is our feeling experience.

Our power comes from our feelings.  All our feelings.

To utilize the power of the Law of Feeling, you are invited to first deepen, heal, and transform your relationship with your feelings.

To support you today, I invite you to do these three things:

1. Write down 10 feelings you long to have. The ones you crave.
2. Write down 10 feelings you wish you could avoid. The ones that are uncomfortable or unpleasant.
3. Throughout the day, track your feelings. Apply  awareness to your feelings all day long, and throughout the day jot down the feelings you’re having.  Challenge yourself to notice and write down the feeling you are experiencing at least 30 times.

Discover and observe what this exercise reveals to you. What does it tell you about your relationship with your feelings?  What does it tell you about how your feelings control your life?  What choices do you make in the service of feeling certain feelings, and avoiding others?  What activities, behaviors, and conversations could you never have, as a result of only wanting to experience certain feelings, and avoiding others?

For some on questions #1 and #2, even naming 10 different distinct feelings might be a real challenge. Allow the exercise to expand your awareness of the distinctions between joy, bliss, love, ecstasy, excitement… and anger, despair, sadness, numbness, and shame… Remember feelings are your source of power.  To fully utilize your power invites you to get to know the various shades of power you can apply.

It’s always interesting to discover what you learn from #3. Sometimes people find it utterly shocking to witness so many feelings (up, down, and all around) in such a confined period of time.  Others discover the opposite — an absence of fluctuations throughout the day.  Or an absence of feeling throughout the day.  Also notice during your feeling tracking experience — did you ever move into the feelings you long for, or the feelings you avoid?  If so, how often?  And if not, consider the deeper reasons why.  Notice your deeper commitment to live within a certain range of feelings.

Also, notice the power that is not available to you through the feelings you avoid or rarely experience.

Today we land on the Law of Wisdom.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF WISDOM?

The Law of Wisdom states that your Authentic Path is revealed one step at a time.  Spirit provides everything needed to take the next step.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I SLOW DOWN TO HEAR MY INNER VOICE OF WISDOM,

AND IT GUIDES ME AT EVERY MOMENT OF MY LIFE.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

In 2003, I set out on a personal journey to discover and know my inner wisdom. I committed to going inside and inviting a powerful guide to come visit me.  Sometimes an angel would appear.  Other times the face of a Buddha.  Other times a goddess.  Many times it was my own personal image of what God looks like.  I would then ask them for guidance, and allow myself to hear their voice of wisdom.  Sometimes their messages would be detailed and specific.  Other times, they would convey more of a feeling or an image.  I learned to know and understand that Spirit speaks in all sorts of ways.  All beautiful and perfect for the moment.

I would always ask my guides for a specific action — something tangible I could do that day in the physical world. The reason is so that I could integrate their wisdom into my physical life.  I learned that until I took the recommended action, that the wisdom given to me was only theory.  Through taking the action, the theory transformed into my personal experience — my Truth.

Taking the actions given to me by my inner guides transformed my entire life — and continues to do so today.  There is no more direct, potent form of self-transformation and self-empowerment than following the specific guidance from your inner guides in the physical world.

As I connected with my guides, I would sit with a journal at might side and write down the messages I received.  This act of journaling helped me proces the wisdom in the moment, as well as remind me in the future of the wealth of wisdom that lives inside me.

I invite you to bring your journal and take yourself inside right now, just as I have done now thousands of times over the past seven years.  Invite a wise guide to visit you. And when you feel their presence, and ask them the questions below.  Write down what ever comes to you — even if you feel like you’re making it all up.  Whatever you write down will be perfect.

1. Why have you come to me today?
2. What is the wisdom you’d like to offer me?
3. What thought would you like me to surrender?  What thought is keeping me stuck in pain and suffering?
4. What gift can I give to myself today to alieve my suffering and bring new light?
5. What is the gift I can give to others to share with them my light?
6. What is a specific action I can take today to live my higher path?
7. Is there anything else you’d like to convey to me right now?

Thank them for sharing their incredible wisdom, and allow them to return to their place in your psyche where you can access them, and their wisdom, any time you like.

Afterwards, take a moment to breathe, process, and read through the notes you took from your journey inward.

Today we land on the Law of Authenticity.

WHAT IS THE LAW OF AUTHENTICITY?

The Law of Authenticity states that only your Authentic Path, Paved By Your Inner Wisdom, Can Lead You To Success.

This is a very rich Law that literally shows you how to manifest your every desire.  It is through opening your senses to this Law that you can discover the invisible river of power living all around you which, when you allow it, will carry you to everything you desire.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:

“I AM A UNIQUE, BEAUTIFUL EXPRESSION OF SPIRIT.

ALL I NEED TO DO IN THIS LIFE IS FOLLOW THE WISE VOICE WITHIN,

AND IT SHOWS ME MY UNIQUE PATH OF COMPLETE, FULFILLING SUCCESS.”

TODAY’S PRACTICE:

Today is a celebration of your authenticity.  A celebration of who you truly are as unique expression of Spirit. Your Authentic Path of Success appears as you allow yourself to fall in love with the person you are.

Today, throughout your day, practice noticing YOU — your thoughts, your expressions, your smile, your quirks, your tirades, your insecurities, your talents, your creativity, your way of doing things.  And every time you notice YOU, pause for a moment, and no matter what it is you notice, exclaim to yourself “I LOVE that about me!” Say it even if what you’re noticing about yourself (your big nose, your empty bank account, or your hot temper), you don’t actually love (at least not yet).  Even if you say it with a tinge of sarcasm — say it – “I LOVE that about me!”

The very act will make you smile.  Lighten up. And gently, simply acknowledge and notice you.

What this practice will allow you to do is NOTICE and HONOR YOU!  Just as you are.  Not just for the parts of you that you deem as “good,” or “right,” or “perfect,” or “acceptable,” or “successful.”  This practice invites you to notice and honor ALL of you.

In order to discover your Authentic Path to Success (with a capital-S), you must first learn to discover and accept who you are.  Your Authentic Path arises out of your wholeness.  Not just out of the select parts you personally like and deem acceptable.  Your Spiritual Self sees every bit of you as perfect and lovable — and your unique blend of characteristics, qualities, and attributes (many of which you personally might not fully appreciate), provides the necessary nutrients for Authentic Success to take root.

Love and cherish yourself today!! — I invite you to reply to this post below on what you love about you (especially the things you struggle most to love). The action of writing the these things down and sharing them publicly will shift the undesirable hold they have on your life.  By claiming that you love your crazy hair.  Or you love your debt. Or that you love your bad mood… By sharing it here, it will offer new lightness to the heavy things in your life, and simultaneously help you celebrate you and your life, thereby allowing your authenticity to unfold.

To see with eyes of spirit means to see the presence of love in everything.  Throughout your day, wherever you are, whatever you do, whomever you are with, and whatever situations come up practice silently saying to yourself, “I can see the presence of love.”  Allow yourself to feel the presence of love.

In situations and conditions where you don’t immediately feel the presence of love, ask yourself, “What thoughts are keeping me from love?”  Allow yourself to identify and surrender these thoughts.

How are you??  How are you feeling? What are you noticing during these past days and weeks?

If you’re like me, you’ve tapped full force into the powerful energies at work in our universe right now.  While I’m no expert on the subject, the pronounced effects of the energetic shifts all around us have sent waves of emotion, confusion, and questions all through my being.

It seems like everywhere I go, I’m in conversation with people in a similar place — particularly women entrepreneurs on a spiritual path.  It almost feels, in some ways, like myself and others are finally crying “UNCLE!” We’ve tried the old systems of living, business, and success, and it seems the old ways no longer work — nor do they feel authentic or satisfying in any real way.

This is how I feel anyway.
